CyberSift Team Member Zach Vella Completes 2,755km Run, Raising €145,000 for YMCA

CyberSift is thrilled to congratulate our colleague, Zach Vella, on completing his 2,755km "Miles from Home" run from London to Malta.

After 51 days on the road, Zach arrived home this Monday, having raised a remarkable €145,000 for YMCA Malta. As a Main Sponsor, CyberSift has proudly supported Zach since his March 22nd departure from London, fueling a mission to strengthen YMCA’s drop-in center and shelter services to combat homelessness.

Zach’s 51-day journey involved nearly two months of continuous movement through the UK, France, the Swiss Alps, and the entire length of Italy. Averaging 55km daily—more than a marathon every 24 hours—he pushed through grueling terrain and punishing weather.

Supported by a 40-person crew, Zach bridged the gap between London and Valletta, proving the massive impact one person can make when backed by a committed team.

The funds raised will allow YMCA Malta to expand its drop-in center, providing essential meals, showers, and counseling. The project also includes a new semi-independent apartment for six people, offering a vital stepping stone toward social reintegration.
